I’m thrilled to announce that Dr. Jonathan Kaplan, a board-certified plastic surgeon originally from Alexandria, Louisiana, has joined our practice here at Pacific Heights Plastic Surgery!
Dr. Kaplan completed his plastic surgery fellowship at the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic, and for the past six years has practiced in Baton Rouge, where he built a busy cosmetic practice, the Center for Reconstructive and Cosmetic Surgery. His areas of focus range from facial to body cosmetic surgery, as well as nonsurgical procedures such as BOTOX for wrinkles and fillers for smile lines. He also has extensive experience with breast reconstruction procedures and with common and complex surgeries for problems resulting from acquired deformities.
In addition to his medical accomplishments, Dr. Kaplan is also the creator of BuildMyBod, a website and iPhone/iPad app that he developed in order to help patients find plastic surgeons in their area and get itemized estimates on the procedures they’re interested in. He came up with the idea after realizing that many of his patients came to consultations with limited understanding of the costs the procedures they were seeking out entailed; he found that most patients couldn’t find good estimates online, and that most doctors refused to give estimates over the phone. From that realization, BuildMyBod was born.
