Dr. Jonathan Kaplan, plastic surgeon at Pacific Heights Plastic Surgery and founder of BuildMyBod Health, will be speaking in Los Angeles at the year’s biggest plastic surgery meeting! He’ll be talking about his price transparency platform, BuildMyBod Health.
BuildMyBod Health allows consumers to connect with healthcare providers to check the cost of their care – before receiving that care – through an automated online Price Estimator. The consumer can check pricing either through the BuildMyBod App, the BuildMyBod website or through a doctor’s own website. Dr. Kaplan will be presenting the marketing effectiveness of online price transparency to his plastic surgery colleagues.
But wait there’s more at ASPS 2016
Aside from discussing the lead generation and marketing potential of price transparency at this instructional course, he’s also releasing a new tool for doctors. The BuildMyBod Pricing Assistant will assist doctors in knowing what is being charged for similar procedures in their area. So not only will doctors be better informed on costs, patients will benefit as well.
His instructional course is based on his own experiences. During his first year in a new practice in San Francisco, Dr. Kaplan didn’t have a marketing budget. But he still received 412 “wishlists” of pricing leads from 208 consumers. During his second year, after gaining some traction, he started advertising to consumers that he had pricing information on his website. The results were astounding! He received 4,156 wishlists from 2,164 consumers! That’s huge lead generation. So much so that he has now built his email database of patients from 200 email addresses when he came to San Francsico, to over 5,400 email addresses in three years!
If you’re around in L.A., come hear him talk about the revolution in healthcare price transparency and how it can be coupled with lead generation!
